Hur mycket guld finns det i världen

How much gold is there in the world?

How much gold is there in the world? There's something special about gold, isn't there? It is a symbol of love but also of power and wealth. Have you ever wondered how much gold there is in the world? It's actually not that simple to answer. There is no one who can know exactly how much gold man has seized.
However, there are estimates that suggest that if you were to add all the gold that is above ground in a pile, it would weigh an estimated 160,000 to 190,000 tons. But of course there is still gold underground. Even today gold discoveries are made all over the world, maybe not as often as before but new gold can still be found.

Which country has the most gold in the world?

Even this question is difficult to answer quickly and easily. Large gold mines are found in China, Australia, the USA and Russia, among others. South Africa also extracts gold from various mines. The gold content of the gold that is extracted can vary but is usually between one and four grams of gold per tonne. If, on the other hand, you look at the gold reserves of different countries, i.e. the gold that is included in the country's currency reserve, the USA has the highest reported gold reserve .

In other words, there is a lot of gold in the foreign exchange reserves of various countries. Gold is also used for jewelry ( necklaces , rings and so on) but also in industry in the manufacture of, among other things, mobile phones, computers and cars as well as for its medical properties in beauty and health.

Is all that glitters gold?

The purity of gold is measured in the karat unit. The scale goes from 1 to 24. Gold with 24 carats is as pure gold as you can get, and the further down the scale you go, the more the gold is mixed with other metals. Copper and silver are some metals that form different types of gold alloys. In Sweden, only carats of nine and above can be called gold.
