How to store necklaces? When you are going to store a necklace while you are not using it, you need to store it in such a way that the chain does not get tangled. It should not get tangled in itself or in another chain. There are a few different ways you can store the necklaces so the chains don't get "tangled".

Hang your necklaces

A good method is to hang your necklaces. What you should think about is hanging the chains with enough space that they don't get tangled in each other. Also make sure you don't hang them in direct sunlight, preferably in a dark place.

Use the original box

If your necklace came in a box, you can use it to store your necklace. The carton usually has a piece of foam rubber with slits in it. You thread the chain into the slits to avoid it tangling you. Both the pendant and the chain are then protected from impacts and the like.

If you don't have the original box or if the piece of foam rubber is missing, you can take a stiffer paper and make slits in the same way.

Protect from sunlight and moisture

You should try to protect your necklaces both against direct sunlight and against moisture. Sunlight can cause the jewelery to darken, depending on the material. Most materials also do well by not being exposed to moisture. You can therefore put the necklace, for example, in a zip lock bag.

With our necklaces you don't have to worry about the sunlight but it doesn't hurt to be careful with them.

How to pack a necklace?

If you are going to pack necklaces for a trip, it is best to do it in a small box or cardboard where the chain goes through a paper with a notch. Preferably do not pack several necklaces in the same box, but pack them separately for you.

Can you shower with a necklace?

Whether or not you can shower with your necklace depends on what it's made of. Jewelry made of, for example, gold, silver, surgical steel or titanium is fine to shower with. Mainly there are cheaper necklaces of unknown metal alloy that you should not shower with.
